Of all the projects I’ve been part of, this one stands out. Powerful, human, and profoundly real.

I joined Dave Klaiber and Tim Kindler, on Simeulue Island in North Sumatra to film an episode of It Ain’t Over Yet. A raw and honest series that opens the door on men’s mental health. Having worked with Dave for over a year on the Comanche feature film, I’ve seen first hand his ability to connect with people and draw out real emotion. He's been an inspiration and mentor of mine in my early years.

On the island, we were welcomed into Ranu’s home at his surf camp. Cooking meals together, sharing stories, and listening as he opened up about his life and struggles. Filming his episode of the series was a humbling reminder of how powerful vulnerability can be, and how important it is to give those stories space to be told.
